SAN DIEGO - Capt. Sean Mahoney, commanding officer of U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego, escorts Medal of Honor Recipient U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry to the front of the hangar Jan. 25, 2012. This was Petry's first opportunity to address Coast Guardsmen and was able to experience first-hand patrolling the waters of San Diego Bay by getting underway aboard a Coast Guard 33-foot Special Purpose Craft boat for a familiarization ride around San Diego Bay.
