COAST GUARD CREW TESTS NEW WEAPON (PHOTO 1)

SAN DIEGO - Feb. 16, 2007 - Petty Officer 1st Class Brandon Kittrell, a gunner's mate from Sector San Diego, watches a break-in machine gun loader as he splices two boxes of ammo together.  Kittrell and the Coast Guard Cutter Edisto's crew ran an operational and structural test fire on their newly-installed 25 mm machine gun to ensure the weapon is functioning properly and safely.
