POOL FOR ARTICLE 32 INVESTIGATION HEARING ESTABLISHED (CORRECTION, LINK INCLUDED)

 

The Coast Guard's Uniform Code of Military Justice Article 32 investigative hearings for boat crewmembers facing charges related to the Dec. 20, 2009 boat collision in San Diego Bay are scheduled for Sept. 7-10 at the 11th Coast Guard District headquarters in Alameda. 

 

Space in the hearing room is limited.  Media coverage will be on a pool basis with up to three pool seats available.  The San Diego Union Tribune has agreed to organize the pool.  Please contact Jennifer Steele to discuss pool seats and filing details at:

No cameras or recording, transmitting or electronic devices will be permitted in the hearing room.   If the pool requests, the hearing officer will provide additional space for a courtroom sketch artist. 

 

Pool video and still photography will be permitted outside the hearing room building.  One television/remote truck/crew for shooting stand-ups outside the building may also be accommodated if requested by the pool.
